Canada Research Chair in Global Change of Freshwater Ecosystems
Our research links physical, chemical, and biological components of aquatic ecosystems to address global change issues in lakes, rivers, and ponds.
Research in the Xenopoulos Aquatic Ecology Lab is primarily aimed at understanding the effects of human activities on ecosystem structure and function of freshwater environments.
Dr. Marguerite Xenopoulos has over 100 publications available on ResearchGate and Google Scholar.
Students in the Xenopoulos lab train in an interdisciplinary environment and learn to use various tools (surveys, GIS, small scale and whole ecosystem experiments, statistics).
We are always looking for enthusiastic, bright and confident students at all levels.
