This lab is run by Dr. Marguerite (Maggie) Xenopoulos. This site includes information on research interests, people involved with the lab, as well as opportunities to join us.
Prof. Xenopoulos is an ecosystem ecologist and professor in the Department of Biology at Trent University.
Research in the Xenopoulos Aquatic Ecology Lab is primarily aimed at understanding the effects of human activities on ecosystem structure and function of freshwater environments.
Students in the Xenopoulos lab train in an interdisciplinary environment and learn to use various tools (surveys, GIS, small scale and whole ecosystem experiments, statistics).
We are always looking for enthusiastic, bright and confident students at all levels. Visit our opportunities page.
